The Hobby Aqualon is filter wadding made of fibre and, in addition to the bacterial colonisation ability as a filter material, it also offers the possibility of trapping coarse dirt.
Any amount of wadding is placed in the filter as the last filter stage. Gaps between the inner wall and filter should be avoided. The filter wadding should be removed from the filter and replaced when the water passage becomes significantly less. The filter wadding can be washed out, but it is recommended to replace it, as new wadding has a higher filter capacity.
